Intro to Pipe Band Tenor Drumming

This is an asynchronous version of the successful 12 week beginner program that I piloted in Fall 2023.

Since the class is asynchronous, you can register and start learning any time you like - you will receive access to all 12 lessons and you can work through the material and submit homework on your own schedule.

Students will be added to a google classroom that will be populated with all lessons and homework assignments, and Kate will respond to homework submissions and messages as promptly as possible in order to provide feedback, answers to questions, and other support.

Equipment required: Tenor Sticks (Tenor Practice Mallets OR Fluffy Tenor Mallets - or both) and a practice pad or hard surface to play on. If you are in need of the required equipment please let me know.

Options for equipment purchase: Ty Fry, Custom Drum Sound, Scott Currie Music, Jim Kilpatrick Percussion, and Drumline NZ.

Technology access required: Google Classroom access and the ability to record a video of yourself playing (a phone on selfie mode works fine for this) so you can submit your homework!
